UPCOMING CHALLENGE GROUPS:

May 27 – June 16: 21-Day Fix I did the 21-Day Fix during month 2 of P90X3.  I did as many of double days as I could but the most important part for me was the food.  The 21-Day Fix programs comes with color-coded portion control containers and a guide of how much to eat and of what.  I was able to make adjustments to my meals based on what I had planned for dinner and it helped me to get into much better eating habits.  I don’t follow the eating to a “t” anymore, but it created the foundation for how I eat on a regular basis.  They say 80% of weight loss (or gain) is what you put in your mouth, so if that’s a challenge for you, this program will help!  It’s easy to follow and not complicated like many programs out there.  I’ve seen people lose 8-10 pounds in just 3 weeks.  It’s not the temporary “I starved myself” weight loss, it’s healthy, sustainable weight loss.

June 16 – June 20: 5-Day Fasting Cleanse It’s been a few years since I have done this and it is 5 days with NO FOOD.  It’s no joke.  It’s tough and will test your mental determination.  You need a few days to prepare your body for it by eating mainly steamed veggies and fruits, so expect to actually start on June 13th or 14th with a restricted diet.  This cleanse is one that you will want the group support.  For me, I had done it with a group and my competitive nature kicked in and helped me get through it – I refused to quit early (though most others did).  If you have an active lifestyle, plan on making it a mellow week.  You don’t want to go and burn 500 calories doing major cardio with no food in your belly.  Relax, find things to keep your mind busy, and flush those toxins out of you.  You’ll get rid of that cheeseburger from 5 years ago.  You’ll lose a few pounds and get your insides in tip-top shape.

June 16 – July 13: P90X3 ** Discounted for May This is the program that I used to get on track.  Group support was how I stayed accountable, so let me do that for you!  You get a variety of workouts – you’ll build lean muscle with pull-ups and lifting light weights, burn calories with cardio, kick butt with a martial arts routine (I loved that one so did Combat next!), work your core with Pilates, plus stretch and strengthen with Yoga.  You get all of the benefits of the original P90X program but in just 30 minutes!  And, Tony Horton will push you and keep you entertained in the process.  This is a great starter program that will also challenge those already fit.

June 16 – July 13: TurboFire ** Only $10 more than Shakeology (discounted for May)! This one will be new to me, too!  I’m super excited to finally try one of Chalene’s programs.  This one has workouts that range from 10-minutes to 55-minutes.  It’s HIIT and cardio workouts designed to blast fat!  How lean can we get?!  Can’t wait to find out!

June 23 – July 27: T25 This is another that will be new to me.  I will rotate between TurboFire and T25 and squeeze in doubles whenever possible.  I love Shaun T and tried Insanity but didn’t get through it…I didn’t have a Coach so I had no accountability.  Now I have you and you have me.  All of the T25 workouts are only 25 minutes!  Who says you don’t have time to get in shape?  This program is hard even for those that are already fit.  Bring it on!
